All Nevadans must become mindful of the financial and social impact of NOT caring for our youngest citizens and their families. Investments in creating safe, stable, nurturing environments and relationships result in families with a higher quality of life and greater contribution to their communities, resulting in better-paying jobs, higher tax contributions, and less dependence on public support throughout their entire lives. We want our legislators to know that they must act to improve support and opportunities so that families can contribute to the well-being of our State economy.

The purpose of Children’s Week is to represent Nevada’s Children and help strengthen families in areas such as school readiness, children’s physical and mental health, and child safety and security. For the past four legislative sessions, over 80 different non-profit, corporate, philantropic, and state agencies and organizations have joined together as we strengthened Nevada’s families by sharing a commitment to improve our communities through events and outreach efforts aimed at promoting the health, safety, and well-being of our children.
